TechStackJobs ("the Platform", "we", "us", or "our") is operated by Karinna Alimes, an individual sole proprietor based in Davao City, Philippines, doing business as TechStackJobs. The operator is the data controller for personal information collected through the Platform, except where our third-party payment provider acts as a separate data controller for payment data (see Section 4).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.

By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Platform, and limited information from third parties.

We use your information to operate and improve the Platform. Specifically:

• •Provide core functionality: account management, job browsing, applications, and employer tools
• •Applicant ranking for employers: analyze applicant skills and experience against job listings to help employers identify strong fits
• •Communications: send transactional emails (application confirmations, status updates, password resets) and, with your consent, product updates
• •Platform improvement: analyze usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and optimize performance
• •Security: detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• •Legal compliance: respond to legal requests and enforce our Terms of Service

We do not sell your personal data. We do not run ads. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

• •With employers: when you apply to a job, we share your application materials (resume, cover note, profile) with the posting employer
• •Payment processor: when you purchase a paid plan, we share your name, email, billing country, and order details with our third-party payment processor, which processes the payment and manages recurring billing on our behalf. The payment processor is an independent data controller for payment-related personal data and processes it under its own privacy policy, which is presented to you at checkout.
• •Service providers (sub-processors): we use third-party services that process data on our behalf under contractual obligations, including hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), email delivery, and product analytics. These providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality.
• •Legal obligations: we may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
• •Business transfers: in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties, and we do not share data with advertising networks.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.

• •Account data: retained until you delete your account
• •Application data: retained for 12 months after the associated job listing closes, then automatically deleted
• •Resumes: stored encrypted and deleted when you remove them from your account or when your account is deleted
• •Usage and log data: retained for up to 24 months for analytics and security purposes, then aggregated or deleted
• •Billing records: retained as required by tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years)

When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• •Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• •Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• •Deletion: request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• •Portability: request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
• •Objection: object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing
• •Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

We do not use advertising cookies or share cookie data with ad networks. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

• •Encrypted storage of resumes and sensitive documents
• •Hashed and salted password storage
• •Regular security reviews and dependency updates
• •Access controls limiting employee access to personal data

No system is perfectly secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to contact@techstackjobs.work.

TechStackJobs is operated from the Philippines, and our infrastructure providers may process data in the United States and the European Union. Payment data shared with our third-party payment processor is processed in the Philippines and other jurisdictions where the processor operates.

If you access the Platform from outside these regions, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions whose data protection laws differ from those of your country.

Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, and other legally approved mechanisms for cross-border transfers of personal data.

TechStackJobs is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email and update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
